Art photography

This group is inteded for the discussion of art photography, including works, exhibtions, techiniques and marketing questions for all photographers, artists and gallerists working with photography as art and the intention to exhibit and sell it. Also it would be good to have discussion and maybe in the future the option of starting international exhibitions together as part of the discussion. I would like to welcome anybody in this field, and hope, that we together can create a  stream of ideas and exhibits beyond this place in order to get other people across the world attached to our work.

If you have any questions regarding the group, the intentions, please feel free to post a comment or send a mail to me directly. You can also find informations on my website: http://www.fotografie-und-gestaltung.com or the global site: http://www.dk-media.dk

Fine Art Limited Editions

Exhibition of artwork characterized by suggestive graphic language and its relationship to the use of second generation images. Some significant aspects to consider are a notion of printmaking tradition and its translation for example to digital media. How do we exercise a reverse thinking process where the iconographic richness is a succession of stage work, ghost image transition and the overall exercise of works in progress?

The objective and generic understatement is to create a body of work, although eclectic in its nature, capable of coexisting in the form of a parallel language. Such condition may be a preamble of a possible future, something which is about to exist.

Finally the criterion of closed editions is a condition which predetermines the uniqueness of serial work where the specific number of available proofs underscores a world of undefined boundaries. In this respect, the exhibited work should be clearly identifiable and properly curated in terms of edition number, title identification, format or paper size, edition marks, substrate quality, printing technique, etc. The long-term benefit is based on the intrinsic value of works on paper and its relationship to added value.

In addition to the above, general work description is encouraged in terms of illustrating working process in order to learn the genesis of a creative conceptual framework associated to image construction.

All experimental graphic work is welcome and by the same token, the possibility of viewing site specific works in the realm of public installations is definitely a plus.

The group encourages empirical knowledge at the basis of an on-growing consensus as how to em-battle current crisis of "all-design hegemony" where the general public is overwhelmed by predictable realities.

Contributions of works in progress is synonymous of future prospect and in that measure, a captive audience may be receptive to astonishment and consequently, capability of change.

ARTINNO

ARTINNO: An Introduction

ARTINNO is devoted in examining art and innovation [Art (ART) + Innovation (INNO) = ARTINNO] of Asian-based artists and designers, in particularly the South-East-Asian region. It will includes works from the geographical area like Vietnam, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos. The area is also known as Indochina. The art of this region traditionally draws from three major sources: indigenous traditions, China, and India.

However, its recent cultural and artistic exploration will not only be shaped by such traditional sources but regional politics and locally-motivated social agenda as well. It is already been influenced by global change via the speed of communications and it getting more borderless day by day. Why the history of this region unfolded so differently in comparison to other geographic continents politically and socially? What will mould the fate of artistic lives and their stories? The artistic evidence may provide us clues in a region shaped by cultural diversity rather than homogenous identity as a region where conflict resolution is imperative. While political and economic integration has been the main roadmap for peace and growth from the ASEAN's perspective, local political climate and social change may unfold a complex region, yet to be fully understood.

Works of art depicted by artists and designers of this region may determine an evolving contemporary Asian's visual arts . The anticipation of this intensity of change as observed by its co-founders is a key driving motivation of ARTINNO as art initiative, where the evolving new Asian energy will be articulated, but importantly to present the expressions of this new energy.

Currently, ARTINNO focuses on the working relationships with its artists and attempts to engage the concept of innovation and its impacts on artistic production and its media resolution issues.
